In 1955, Danville Area Little League (DALL) was born for Danville Pennsylvania. After 65 years of providing a wonderful baseball and softball experience for so many, our Board of Directors has conducted an aggressive $250,000 capital campaign called the Hit a Home Run campaign. Today, we offer baseball and softball to approximately 300 youth at all ages and skills. In addition, we sponsor a Challenger Program or program for kids with mental or physical disabilities drawing from nearly 7 other surrounding towns. We love the stories; we love to see the smiles of kids on the ball field.
We currently have two main facilities: baseball at the Washies Complex and softball at the Echo Fields. Improvements over the last four years include a new batting cages at Echo, newly leveled and seeded softball fields, four new cages at Washies, a 20x40 pole barn for equipment, a refurbished Majors field, a 50/70 capable Utility field, new Musco field lights on the major baseball field, refurbished senior league field, paved and lined main parking lot at Washies Complex, complete replacement of wooden bleachers to new metal bleachers, spectator safety netting, and top of the line field grooming equipment.
The 2020 Board of Directors have secured additional funding with hopes of replacing field lights on the senior league baseball field in 2021. We look forward to another great season and continue to work together to provide a safe and beautiful complexes for families to enjoy the game.
