A.     Sold balance of products to other sports

B.     Discussion of tourism grant ($10,000), raffle ticket revenue, registration fees (sponsorship/advertising).  Total balance:  $51,170.57

4.   dates

A.     Penguins promotion – thank you to all who attended, $4/person who attended (donation), see FB page for picture of all families on the ice

B.     March 21 and 28 Quaker Steak & Lube promotion (they donate 20% of all food all day long each day back to the league); you must present coupon to server (found on our website

C.      Equipment distribution (all distributed, still waiting on safety baseballs for coach pitch)

D.     April 6 clean up day coming up, begins at 9am; commissioners will distribute lists of duties to teams prior so work can be started in advance – VERY IMPORTANT TO ATTEND AND HELP)

                 i.          Gatorade and water donations due this day (5 per team if possible – 16 oz bottles) – deliver softball to Echo, rest to Washies

                ii.          Also must turn in raffle tickets between 1 and 3 pm that day at Majors concession stand

E.      May 4 is Opening Ceremonies and picture day

A.     Still searching for senior and echo concession chair, we have a buyer (Alicia Santore) – duty is to ensure stands are in good shape and stocked and volunteers are scheduled

B.     Hawkins sponsorship $500 plus tent (for Echo complex), catchers gear, batting tees (5), scorebooks

C.      Dick’s Sporting Goods Sponsorship ($400 cash, $400 gift card, baseballs, softballs, and they sponsor our website) – please patronize the Selinsgrove store, use your 20% coupon

D.     Property line near AAA field – goal was to get dirt to fill in hole (we got it, need to have it spread, Matt Betts will be doing this)

E.      Senior league field plan – will try to get it water-friendly by start of this season (level infield lips, infield dirt, conditioner) and we will finish after season is over

F.      Commissioner list for cleanup day – we will discuss this evening in division breakouts

G.     Light audit to be scheduled as soon as March PPL cycle is complete to avoid excess electric charges (Senior and Major fields – roughly $200 per field, will need repeated prior to all start tournament).  These fees get used for the umpire clinic on April 6).  PLEASE DO NOT USE LIGHTS UNTIL TREASURER GIVES OK.

H.     Sandstar tines being made by Josh Kelchner, this will save us roughly $1000 in fees

I.       $10,000 grant from NCSA for softball tournament this April

                 i.          Batting cage at Echo, payoff Sandstar loan (our light loan will be paid by Geisinger grants over next 3 years, but the Sandstar loan balance is $5333.34).  This will render league debt-free

                ii.          Local tourism (hotels, restaurants)

              iii.          This results in us getting host status for softball all stars and umpire classic softball fundraiser

J.       NCSA Softball volunteers needed (April 25-27).  Ensuring a good experience for the NCSA teams/directors ensures we get this tournament in the future, so it is SO IMPORTANT TO HAVE ADEQUATE VOLUNTEERS (roughly 10 people per day for concessions, field work, score-keeping, announcing)

K.     50/70 draft – we’d like to hold draft tonight, we will have 2 Danville teams and play other leagues this season (24 signed up so far).  Only played on Sundays, which allows our kids to play majors or seniors in addition to this

L.      Minor division – deal worked out with a local vendor (Triple Play) to ensure $20/shirt and hat for minors
